Casting Scoop: Happy Endings Grabs One Half of a Perfect Couple

Eliza Coupe, Happy Endings, Hayes McArthur Eliza Coupe on Happy Endings /ABC; NBC

From a perfect couple to a happy ending. Not many people can say they've made that leap.

Hayes MacArthur can. Because we can reveal exclusively that star of NBC's former Perfect Couples been cast on ABC's Happy Endings as someone involved with Eliza Coupe's Jane. How involved?

Not involved in the sense that we should be worried about Brad (Damon Wayans Jr.) and Jane as a married couple. Though it does kind of involve their relationship.

All we can tell you now is that MacArthur will play Steve, the head of Human Resources at Jane's work. She has to deal with him when Jane is reported for saying inappropriate things to the mailroom guy, Hector. Jane say inappropriate things? Never!

And since we will sing the praises of one of our favorite comedies until we are purple in the face, you should know that next week's episode of H.E. with Megan Mullally as Penny's (Casey Wilson) mom is pretty much the most awesome thing to ever happen on television. Hint: There's a duet you just cannot miss.

Are you loving this show like we are? Ready for next week's sing-sensational episode with Mullally?
