Carolla Doubles His Pleasure
Here's one set of twins Adam Carolla will guarantee never make it onto a trampoline.
The former Man Show emcee and current morning radio personality and his wife, Lynette, welcomed twins--a boy and a girl--in Los Angeles Wednesday, making a first-time papa out of the multitasking media man.
The Carolla clan welcomed new members Sonny, tipping the scales at 6 pounds, 4 ounces, and Natalia, weighing in at 5 pounds, 12 ounces.
He made the announcement on his eponymous drive-time program, The Adam Carolla Show, shortly after the delivery Wednesday morning, calling in to the show, hosted for the day by good pal Jimmy Kimmel.
"I didn't cry. I was in the delivery room. I said I didn't want to be in the delivery room," the former Loveline cohost said. "I cut the cord, too. I didn't want to cut the cord, but the guy handed me the snippers and just sort of pushed me at my kid."
As for his wife of four years, Carolla said she handled the delivery as well as could be expected.
"She's not viking stock," he joked. "She didn't take childbirth like a man. Meanwhile, I was stoic."
Carolla, 42, tied the knot with his missus, née Lynette Paradise, in 2002.
The stork delivery caps off a banner year for the TV and radio host, who in January took his place as West Coast heir to Howard Stern's FM throne.
Partner in crime Kimmel, who serves as creative consultant for the show, sat in for his frequent collaborator on both Wednesday and Thursday morning, but there's no word yet if he'll cover Carolla's paternity leave on Friday, too.
