I'm referring to news today that Heroes tartlet and Starbucks enthusiast Hayden Panettiere is in talks to star in an adaptation of a novel by former Simpsons writer and current New Yorker contributor Larry Doyle. Lowbrow, meet highbrow.
The teen flick is called I Love You, Beth Cooper, and the plot is very Can't Buy Me Love: hot cheerleader falls for nerdy valedictorian and shows him a good time. And who doesn't love Can't Buy Me Love?
