Byron Gets Bachelor-Slapped
As if commitment phobe Brad's ultimate indecision wasn't bad enough, not picking either girl at last week's thorny rose ceremony on The Bachelor.
Now one of the series' two supposedly happy couples (in addition to now marrieds Trista and Ryan), Byron and Mary from season six, have gone from engaged to engaged in fisticuffs.
TMZ reports than Mary punched Byron early Wednesday and was arrested in Tampa, Florida, for alleged domestic battery—just a night after the brawlers appeared on The Bachelor finale to talk about taking their vows.
The alcohol-fueled bout between former NFL cheerleader Mary and professional bass fisherman Byron reportedly didn't last long, but maybe the couple's personal troubles could wind up providing a boost to two lagging reality series...
Next season, just cross-pollinate The Bachelor with The Contender and, voilà, a guaranteed hit series—literally, if not figuratively.
