Burlesque Dancers, Playboy Playmates and a Hills Hottie

Audrina Patridge, Sydne Summer Sydne Summer

Ever since last December, when Britney Spears swapped costumes with some Forty Deuce dancers, I've been meaning to check out the infamous burlesque club. Tonight, I've finally made it, for Deuce owner Ivan Kane's Royal Jelly 100th Performance Celebration.

On most days, I've heard the venue has a very speakeasy feel, with dark nooks and crannies perfect for private PDA sessions. But tonight, every red leather chair is filled, and I can barely make it to the bar. Luckily, Audrina Patridge is sweet enough to share some of her p.i.n.k. vodka with me. The Hills star is a major rock fan, so she often stops by the club to watch Royal Jelly's rock 'n' roll burlesque show.

"I love that it's very intimate and small," she says of Forty Deuce. "It's not like a regular club." The cozy atmosphere makes Audrina feel right at home on the lap of Justin Brescia, the celebrity hairdresser responsible for the locks of Maroon 5's Adam Levine. If you don't know who he is now, you sure will once season three of The Hills debuts this summer. Brescia will appear as Audrina's date when she's not attached to the hip of BFF Lauren "L.C." Conrad.

Speaking of couples, it seems like CSI: NY's A.J. Buckley might have a thing for Neill Skylar, who guested as Jennie Parker on the crime series. I try to ask A.J.'s costar Carmine Giovinazzo if anything happened on set, but my words get drowned out with the strains of Jimi Hendrix's "Star-Spangled Banner." Now, I understand why they were handing out earplugs at the door.

Scantily clad dancers slide down poles, gyrate onstage and hang from the ceiling, as the Royal Jelly band plays rock classics like Aerosmith's "Walk this Way" and Van Halen's "Panama." Although it's like nothing I've seen before, I promised a friend I'd meet him at Mood, so I leave as the Doors' "L.A. Woman" pounds. I’ll be back, though. With Kane opening another Forty Deuce in New York this fall, and having just brought Royal Jelly's show to Las Vegas, there will be many more performances at the three venues.

Over at Mood, my Sons of Hollywood pal David Weintraub is hosting a party with Playmate of the Year Sara Jean Underwood. The blonde looks purely angelic twirling her braided pigtails in a little black dress, though maybe my mind is distorted after having just seen so many thongs and sequined pasties. Sara sits between a bodyguard and a guy pal, giggling at the micromini-clad girls grinding on her cohost and his boys. Hefner always said he chooses "the girl next door," and this year is no different. Had Sara's face not been plastered outside the club, I would've thought the Playmate was just another L.A. club girl.
