British Forlani Engaged to Desperate Scott
Even after hanging around so many Desperate Housewives every day, Claire Forlani's boyfriend still wants to get married.
Dougray Scott popped the question last month to the newest CSI: NY cast member, People reported, presenting her with an engagement ring he designed himself.
"I feel so lucky to have met her," Scott told the magazine. "She's an amazing actress and human being. I'm very happy."
<>The U.K.-born actors (Forlani is British; Scott is Scottish) met about 10 months ago through a friend and had kept rather mum on whether there was a romance blossoming, despite being spied in Los Angeles dining à deux, holding hands and engaging in other couple-like behavior.
<>This will be the second marriage for Scott, who tied the knot with casting director Sarah Trevis in April 2000, with Ewan McGregor standing in as best man. The pair, who divorced last August, have eight-year-old twins, a boy named Gabriel and a girl named Eden.
Forlani has been linked in the past to Benicio Del Toro, John Cusack and Ben Stiller.
Scott, who appeared in Mission: Impossible II and whose next feature film is The Cone Gatherer costarring Emily Watson, scored a part on Desperate Housewives this season playing Terri Hatcher's latest love interest, Ian Kavanaugh.
Forlani, best known for roles in Mallrats and Meet Joe Black, joined the third CSI installment this summer as medical examiner Dr. Peyton Driscoll.
