It's the beginning of the end, and as sad as we are to see The Twilight Saga come to a close, we must face its final films with courage, as if they were the Volturi.

But enough of that. It's not over yet, and we're super excited to see how the final (and lengthiest) book of the series, Breaking Dawn, translates on the big screen. And judging by some of the latest reviews, it seems like true Twi-hards won't be disappointed.

At least, not by Part 1.

Variety and The Hollywood Reporter have both released their criticisms of the highly anticipated flick, and they both seem to be on the same path.

Basically, there's a lot of filler betwixt the big moments, which we don't even get to see! But since we looooove the series oh so much, it doesn't matter, we're still happy.

"So little else occurs in between these momentous events in The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn—Part 1 that you can practically hear every second ticking by while awaiting the payoff," THR reports. "Not that this will matter to the faithful who have devoured every one of the 754 pages of Stephenie Meyer's series-climaxing tome and want to see as many of them as possible recreated on the screen, nor to those who have paid more than $1.8 billion worldwide to see the previous three installments in theaters, nearly all of whom will rush to see this one as soon as possible."

True story? We think yes.

As we already knew, the movie opens with the famous wedding scene between Bella (Kristen Stewart) and Edward (Robert Pattinson), oh, and a very bothered Jacob (Taylor Lautner) in the background.

What's not lacking, according to the reviews, is the amount of romance displayed throughout the ceremony, and throughout the entire movie. Sigh. That's because it's true love.

"By now Stewart and Pattinson have merged so completely with their roles and each other that the sight of the duo's matrimonial bliss -- delicately shaded by that sense of transience and loss that attends even happy life transitions -- delivers a genuine emotional payoff," Variety writes.

However, there is one flaw that many will be crushed about, even though we kinda knew it was going to be the case...

THR writes, "They skinny dip at night to some incredibly insipid songs, they're very tender and understanding with one another, and then in the morning the bedroom is in total disarray; we never see anything of what came in between, no moment of actual surrender, which is what the series has been building to all along."

What?! No vampire and human sex?! Ugh.

The viewers will get to witness Bella's body slowly disinegrate from the pregnancy, which we're sure isn't going to be a pretty sight. Unfortunately, we won't get to see the half-vampire, half-human child that causes this.

Not until Breaking Dawn: Part 2, which doesn't come out until November 2012.

Let the waiting game begin!
