Brad's Hospital Pitt Stop
Call it an unwanted Pitt stop: Brad Pitt has checked into an undisclosed Los Angeles hospital after apparently coming down with the flu, his publicist, Cindi Guagenti said Tuesday.
"He's fine. We think he has the flu," the rep told E! News. "They are just doing a couple of tests."
Guagenti declined to release further information about the actor's symptoms or location, citing security and privacy concerns, but she did say that he sought treatment Monday night and was expected to stay in the hospital through Tuesday.
Pitt's hospitalization comes just days after he joined his Mr. and Mrs. Smith costar Angelina Jolie on a trip to Ethiopia, where she picked up her newly adopted daughter, Zahara.
His publicist could not say whether the actor caught the bug during his visit to Africa.
The trip once again sparked talk that Pitt, who is in the midst of divorcing Jennifer Aniston, was having an affair with the twice-divorced Girl, Interrupted Oscar winner. The twosome, pictured playing together with Jolie's son Maddox at her British estate in this week's People, have routinely denied rumors of a romance.
In any case, all the speculation about their relationship has paid off handsomely at the box office. Mr. and Mrs. Smith has so far grossed more than $150 million domestically and another $122 million abroad since its release June 10.
