Brad Pitt to Slay Zombies in World War Z

The zombie world just got a lot hotter.
Brad Pitt has been confirmed to star in the film adapatation of Max Brooks' World War Z. The author shared the exciting news at Comic-Con and is hoping for a 2012 release.
Pitt's production company, Plan B Entertainment, beat out Leonardo DiCaprio's company for the rights and (its subsequent sequels) back in 2007. Quantum of Solace director Marc Foster is set to helm the project.
Just when we were getting tired of the whole "zombie" fad, Brad Pitt manages to find a way to make it cool again.Well played, sir, well played.
