Perhaps the people of Boca Raton, Fla., are trying to send Pete Wentz a message.
The Believers Never Die Tour, headlined by Wentz's Fall Out Boy and originally scheduled to stop at the Mizner Park Amphitheater on April 21, has been canceled.
The group's website quotes the City of Boca Raton releasing a statement that reads, "There have been known disturbances associated with one of the bands, 'Fall Out Boy". We anticipate that the concert will generate security challenges."
The "Sugar, We're Going Down" boys are none too pleased.
"We will make it [to South Florida] come hell or high water (no info on why we have been banned). there will be a show somehow," Wentz wrote on his Twitter.
“I’m not sure what these ‘challenges’ are that they are speaking of,” says Fall Out Boy manager Bob McLynn. “The town said that if we tried to keep the show on we would have to pay an extraordinary amount of money in extra costs.”
Unfortunately for Ashlee Simpson-Wentz and Bronx, the show has been relocated. The tour will stop at Pompano Beach Amphitheater in nearby Pompano Beach on the same day and time. Mizner Park tickets will be honored.
