Tyler Perry, longtime a friend of Whitney Houston, has taken her daughter under his wing.

Which, in Hollywood, apparently translates into giving her a plum role on his latest sitcom!

A rep for the Houston family confirms that Bobbi Kristina Brown is working with the prolific TV and film producer and has been cast in a recurring role in For Better or Worse.

So, what's on tap for the 19-year-old?

Radar first reported that Bobbi Kristina, whose previous TV experience is limited to interviews and Being Bobby Brown, would play the daughter of one of the stylists at the salon run by Tasha Smith's Angela.

No word yet on when she'll first appear, but there will be plenty of opportunities—the first of 35 new episodes that TBS has ordered premieres in July.

The aptly titled For Better or Worse is based on the premise of Perry's 2007 film Why Did I Get Married? and 2010's Why Did I Get Married Too?

Perry reportedly lent his private jet to the Houston family to fly Whitney's remains from California to New Jersey ahead of her funeral in Newark.

He also spoke at the service, saying, "There are two constants that I know about Whitney Houston. There was a grace that carried her from heaven down through Miss Cissy Houston, a grace that brought her up through singing...The same grace led her all the way to the top of the charts...The other thing I know for sure, more important than anything she's done in her life, Whitney Houston loved the Lord."
