So True? So False? Did the Black Eyed Peas Just Break Up?!
Call it the circle of musical life: you band, you top the charts, you get caught in a hotel fire, you disband.
And rumors are abounding that the latter eventuality has sounded for the Black Eyed Peas, after will.i.am released into the world a tweet that seemingly spelled the end for the top 10 heavies.
Couple that with Fergie's announcement at the group's final U.K. gig proclaiming, "this is the last time...for a long time," that they'll be performing together, and you don't exactly have the makings of putting fans' minds at ease.
So, is this really The E.N.D. for will.i.am, Fergie, apl.de.ap and Taboo? This ain't just monkey business, we've got a feeling this rumor is…
The Black Eyed Peas Were on Fire (Almost Literally!) in London
Lucky for Will.i.am, the firefighters had a feeling it was a good time to evacuate.
The Black Eyed Peas frontman was one of 1,500 guests and staffers who were all ushered to safety earlier today when a fire broke out at the Park Lane Hilton in London's Mayfair neighborhood.
Around 20 firefighters responded to a report of a blaze that broke out in a second-floor kitchen. No injuries were reported, according to the Metropolitan Police.
And despite the scare, Will.i.am saw no reason to stop the party.
Foodie Fergie: "I See a Jack in the Box or a Del Taco, and I Will Impulsively Want It"
It looks like the latest edition of Allure magazine is going to have some extra boom-boom-pow!
Fergie will be gracing the cover, looking striking as ever, natch. But what's even more intriguing is the star's responses to some of our ongoing questions...
Is she preggo? What's going on with the Black Eyed Peas? Why is she so hot?
Which Clinton Has a Beef With the Black Eyed Peas?
George Clinton would like the Black Eyed Peas to shut the phunk up.
The Parliament-Funkadelic frontman has sued the Peas for copyright infringement, claiming the hitmakers' "Shut Up Remix" borrows too heavily from Clinton's "(Not Just) Knee Deep."
Er..."Shut Up" was the second single off of the group's 2003 album Elephunk, and that's when the remix came out, too. So what took the funk master so long to raise an objection?
Fergie's Bodyguard Plays Rough With Reporter
Trust, Fergie has never met a headline she didn't like—even if they're the trashy tabloid kind that aren't always so nice. Because attention is attention, right? And the Fergalicious femme will take it in spades!
And so we were shocked—but not too surprised—when Fergie-Ferg's bodyguard got handsy with a reporter at Sunday's American Music Awards. And all because he snapped a cell phone pic of the babe.
What gives?
Fergie: Yes, There Will Be Babies in My Future
With a music career, a clothing line, acting roles and charity work to juggle, who has time for babies?
Fergie does.
Are the Black Eyed Peas Serial Song Thieves?
This isn't the kind of monkey business the Black Eyed Peas are normally in to.
In a weird coincidence—or, if you prefer conspiracies, a bit of suspicious timing—the hitmaking hip-hoppers were on the receiving end of two separate lawsuits accusing them of swiping songs from lesser-known artists.
Boom boom huh?
Will.i.am: Black Eyed Peas Are "Never Breaking Up"
Will.i.am is shutting down rumors that the Black Eyed Peas have reached The E.N.D.
In spite of recent speculation that Fergie is gearing up to leave the group, Will headed to Twitter to dispel stories of BEP breakups and beefs.
"Don't believe gossip about Fergie leaving the group (we are never breaking up) it's all lies!!!," Will tweeted Saturday.
