Trae Patton/NBCJillian Michaels is getting ready to hang up her spandex.
"Season 11 of Biggest Loser will be my last :) have to finish out my contract," the tough 'n' toned team leader tweeted this week. The 36-year-old personal trainer from L.A. has been battling the bulge on the hit NBC series for the better part of six years.
But while shedding pounds has been the name of the game, Michaels is actually looking forward to carrying a little more weight around.
"I want to take a year off TV and focus on becoming a mommy and doing more charity work," she told her bummed-out Biggest Loser fans.
When asked when she started wanting to have a family, she replied, "Last 2 years...Shooting Losing It also had big impact on me. Living with kids I saw firsthand what I was missing.
"It's scary. I haven't even met this little person & I'm already talking about my fear of messing them up in therapy."
Michaels revealed earlier this year on The Talk that she suffers from endometriosis and Polycistic Ovarian Syndrome, conditions that prevent her from getting pregnant. So it appears she has an alternative route to motherhood coming up, and we wish her the best.
As for The Biggest Loser, Michaels said her replacement is already on board and that she will help break her in when season 11—the show's fourth couples edition—kicks off next month.
NBC had no comment on Michaels' departure.
