Robin Gibb is stayin' alive.

The Bee Gees artist was discharged from an Oxford hospital today after being treated for an inflamed colon and will be continuing his recovery at home, his camp has confirmed.

Gibb, who fell ill last Thursday, "plans to slowly resume work over the next couple of days," read a statement on his website.

The disco-era hitmaker was forced to cancel a performance in Paris last week, the second time this year that abdominal pains sent him to the hospital.

Gibb had part of his intestine removed last year during emergency surgery to repair a blockage, and twin brother Maurice Gibb died following abdominal surgery in 2003, so the 61-year-old has made a habit of taking no chances with his health.

Last month, he released an updated version of the Bee Gees tune "I've Gotta Get a Message to You" to benefit the Royal British Legion.
