If you haven't heard by now, Lea Michele will not be starring in the revival of Funny Girl, the Broadway show that made her icon, Barbra Streisand, a star back in the 1960s.
Lauren Ambrose, as I was the first to tell you, will be headlining the much-anticipated production.

Is Barbra Streisand really joining Kings of Leon on the Glee diss train?
Not so fast.
At the pre-Grammy MusiCares event Friday night, Streisand was asked if she would ever consider doing an episode of Glee and replied, "Not if I can help it. " Needless to say, Gleeks went apoplectic (especially considering show star and professed Streisand fan Lea Michele performed a tribute to Streisand that night).
Now Streisand is doing a quick backpedal clarification...

Just ask the dozen or so performers at last night's MusiCares Person of the Year honoring Ms. Babs at the L.A. Convention Center.
"I'm really scared," Kristin Chenoweth told me before belting out an awesomingly moving rendition of "One Less Bell to Answer" with Matthew Morrison. "I've sang for many great idols of mine. Well, there are three: Barbra, Bette Midler and Julie Andrews. And Barbra's the one I haven't met. So, I'm really nervous."

Just saw that Shia LaBeouf got himself into a bit of a drunken bar brawl that was instigated by (in part) being called a "f----t." Question: Does this kind of a reaction to having your sexual orientation challenged reveal anything about whether or not a celebrity is in the closet? If you are straight, wouldn't being called this be easier to dismiss?

Dear Gaydar Police:
All this reveals is that Shia has a bad temper and a drinking problem! The fight really started when Shia refused to take a pic with a fan, so the gal's BF dropped the dreaded word at Shia. Add booze and testosterone to the mix, and you have your standard bar fight—only with boldface names. No matter what insult may have been said, Shia was looking to take a swing at someone. Add to that already combustible recipe, yes, it didn't help anything that anti-gay names were thrown. Shia certainly doesn't want those secrets thought about his protected love life.
