A Baby Brendan Fraser
With all that Mummy business behind him, Brendan Fraser can now focus on being a daddy.
The goofy action hero and his wife, Afton Smith, are celebrating the birth of their son, Griffin Arthur Fraser. The boy debuted September 17 in Los Angeles, but no further details were disclosed by Fraser's publicist, Kelly Bush.
This is the first child for the couple, who married almost exactly four years ago.
Fraser, 33, has been working on Looney Tunes: The Movie, a combo live-action/animated adventure featuring Bugs, Daffy and the rest of the Warner Bros. cartoon stable.
Smith has been devoting her time to homemaking since marrying Fraser in 1998. In her previous life, she was an actress, appearing in Less Than Zero, Fried Green Tomatoes, Reality Bites and George of the Jungle, where she met her hubby.
"A long time ago she acted," the silly-in-love Fraser aw-shucked last year to London's Sunday Times, "but now she makes me possible, she's my producer."
Other than producing babies, Smith, 35, can usally be spotted arm-in-arm with Fraser at his movie premieres. If they can track down a sitter, expect to see them together on the red carpet in December, when Miramax releases the Oscar-buzzing romantic drama The Quiet American starring Fraser and Michael Caine.
