John Sciulli/WireImageWith The Avengers finally hitting theaters today, it's easy to forget that Robert Downey Jr. is more than just the man who flies around in an iron suit.
But during his Thursday appearance on The Tonight Show, the movie star happily reminded us that he's also a proud papa by sharing a couple of photos of his first child with wife Susan—3-month old son Exton. (Downey also has an 18-year-old son, Indio, from a previous marriage.)
"I would get in huge trouble," Downey initially told Jay Leno when the host asked the actor if he wanted to give the audience a glimpse of his little bundle of joy. "I want to, but I have to exercise just a little restraint. I mean, if you want me to I will."
With that, a picture of Susan and Exton quickly popped up, with Downey saying, "He's so darn cute, isn't he? You get one, that's it. Unless, of course, you want to see the other one."
Well, yeah!
Sure enough, the shot above, of Exton sporting a sweatshirt and orange pants, was revealed.
So darn cute indeed.
But the baby bragging doesn't stop there.
Downey also chats about his tiny tyke later today on Ellen.
"He's smiling and talking a little bit," he tells Ellen DeGeneres. "It's incredible."
"No, he's not talking," DeGeneres replies in disbelief.
"Well, I mean, you know. I think he is. I go, 'What are we doing? What's happening?' And he goes (makes noise). I go, really? Kind of like a bad date with somebody who is really small," Downey says before adding, "It's great, though. In this instance, it is a great date."
