Not everything that goes viral is "good," child. Think of that poor kid who thought he was fighting Darth Vader all by himself with no one watching? Not exactly Jet Li, that kid. But his video sure went viral.
So does YouTube bubble Black—who's defending herself and joining the Glee kids on the iTunes charts—belong in the same company as the accidental Jedi?

According to music snobs, yes.
"The fascination with the video mainly comes down to its subpar production values, grating hooks and extraordinarily stupid lyrics," according to Rolling Stone. "This is a song that makes a point of explaining the sequence of days in the week."
Hence the parody after parody springing up across the Interwebs.
And the conspiracy theories. Black's video is being hyped by a company called Ark Music Factory, and plenty of people are wondering whether the video release is real—or some kind of Joaquin Phoenix-level prank.
"Nothing this perfectly horrible could be unintentional," one commenter recently told Rolling Stone. "Call me jaded, but that's what I think."
