Burning Q's: The Idol Stage Parade & Fox Shots

Many of the former American Idol contestants have ended up on Broadway. But I can't tell—is that a good thing?
—Carrie W, Minnesota

Broadway is seen as a sort of stopgap, a way to keep a performer's career from hemorrhaging, down, down, down, into the stygian realm of Rosie O'Donnell family boat cruises.

"This is the next best thing" to a Kelly Clarkson-style music career, says entertainment attorney Brian Rosenblatt. "It allows them to continue to perform in front of a live audience, staying in the industry."

In other words, Idol grads such as Clay Aiken, Diana DeGarmo, Frenchie Davis and Tamyra Gray take the Broadway route to pay bills. Is that a "good thing"? Compared to what, singing the Priceline theme?

How much do celebrity bodyguards cost?
—Angie, Arizona

Well trained ones cost at least $250 an hour. Or you can recruit one of those human beef cubes who work the door at a club. They cost closer to $200 a day.

If Megan Fox is so "hot" right now, then why don't we see more paparazzi pics of her? Or Selena Gomez? Instead, we keep getting the same ol' photos of the same ol' stars.
—Jana

Dunno what you mean. Paparazzi hubs like X17Online.com are rife with perky images of Selena Gomez doing plucky things. Ditto with Megan Fox, whose photos pop up every few days on sites like that. (For example: On Aug. 19, Fox adjusted her boobs.)

Now you know.
