Appendix-Free Jimmy Back Live

Jimmy Kimmel's appendix is long gone, but fortunately his sense of humor appears intact.

ABC's late-night funnyman is set to get back behind the desk for Jimmy Kimmel Live Tuesday, less than a week after an emergency appendectomy.

"I feel much better now and am delighted to announce that Brad and Angelina may choose to adopt my appendix and give it a loving home," the 39-year-old comedian cracked to People.

Kimmel went under the knife last Wednesday after experiencing excruciating pain in his lower abdomen. The surgery was a success and he scrapped the rest of the week's tapings to convalesce at home, giving him plenty of time to catch up with his New York Mets.

On Tuesday's show, the post-op Kimmel will trade one-liners with Don Rickles and be serenaded by septuagenarian jazz singer Keely Smith.

Kimmel has also been tapped to co-emcee ESPN's Espy Awards with NBA superstar LeBron James. The ceremony airs live from L.A. on July 15.
