Aniston in Minor Car Crash
And we can happily report that her driving-challenged Friends costar Matthew Perry was not responsible.
Police say Mrs. Brad Pitt was cruising north through the 1700 block of Fuller Avenue--a residential neighborhood near Sunset Boulevard in Hollywood--when another motorist backed out of a driveway and broadsided the actress' 2000 Jaguar.
Aniston, who was solo in the car at the time of the 10:30 a.m. accident, complained of "minor injuries," according to a Los Angeles Police Department spokesman. However, when an ambulance arrived on scene, the 32-year-old declined treatment, prefering instead to see her own doctor.
There wasn't major damage to either Aniston's Jag or the Jetta belonging to the other driver, whose identity was not disclosed. Aniston drove away after giving her report to the cops.
Police say no charges are going to be filed.
Calls to Aniston's publicist, Stephen Huvane, were not immediately returned. The accident should have no affect on shooting of Friends--the show is on a regularly scheduled break. (The cast is due back next month to begin working on the final episodes of the sitcom's eighth--and perhaps final--season.)
Aniston, who received the People's Choice Award Sunday for Favorite Television Actress, was in Sundance last week promoting her new film, Miguel Arteta's dark comedy The Good Girl.
Of course, Aniston isn't the only one of the Friends crowd in need of a good mechanic and an AAA card.
Two years ago, Perry infamously parked his Porsche on the porch of a Hollywood Hills home. Then last April, he suffered minor injuries when another driver plowed into his BMW.
We're just praying David Schwimmer keeps both hands on the wheel and his eyes on the road.
