Angie Harmon on Stork Watch

Angie Harmon's going from assistant district attorneying to diaper duty.

The former Law & Order legal dish is expecting her first child with football stud hubby Jason Sehorn, her publicist confirmed Tuesday.

Harmon is due in late October.

Harmon, 30, married Sehorn, a former all-pro defensive back who played the last several seasons for the New York Giants, in June 2001. The couple, introduced by Sehorn's mom following a game, got engaged on national television in March 2000 when Sehorn trotted on stage during a Harmon appearance on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, pulled out a ring and popped the question.

Starting off as a model gracing the likes of Seventeen, Vogue, Cosmopolitan, GQ and Esquire, Harmon segued into acting (we use that term loosely) on Baywatch Nights, playing private detective Ryan McBride on the syndicated sereis from 1995 to 1997.

She's still best known for her follow-up stint as assistant D.A. Abbie Carmichael on NBC's Law & Order. She begged out of her contract in 2001 after three seasons.

Since then, Harmon has appeared in the 2002 TV movies Video Voyeur: The Susan Wilson Story and Sudden Fear and the destined-for-video-store-dustbin 2001 Charlie Sheen vehicle Good Advice.

Harmon most recently kicked butt as no-nonsense CIA agent Ronica Miles in the Frankie Muniz kid-spy flick Agent Cody Banks. No immediate word on whether Harmon will be able to reprise the role in the film's sequel, which is slated to shoot this summer.
