Angie Harmon Delivers
Angie Harmon is making a strong case for motherhood.
The former Law & Order prosecutor gave birth to a daughter, Avery Grace, last Wednesday. The babe is Harmon's second child--and second daughter--with her former football-playing hubby Jason Sehorn.
The actress, 32, made the delivery in her hometown of Dallas with Sehorn, 34, by her side. None of the baby's vital statistics was released.
Harmon's publicist, Troy Nankin, says the newly enlarged happy family will spend the rest of the summer in Texas before returning to Los Angeles in the fall.
Sehorn and Harmon married in Dallas in 2001. Their eldest daughter, Finley Faith, was born in October 2003.
Since departing Law & Order in 2001, Harmon has managed to squeeze in a few acting gigs between her family time. She appeared in 2003's Agent Cody Banks and the 2002 TV movie Video Voyeur: The Susan Wilson Story--and delivered a speech at last summer's Republican National Convention.
She most recently costarred with Christian Slater and Selma Blair in the indie drama The Deal, which opened June 17, and has two more big-screen projects due this year--political thriller End Game with Cuba Gooding Jr. and James Woods, slated to open Sept. 9, and the comedy caper remake Fun with Dick and Jane opposite Jim Carrey and Téa Leoni, due Dec. 21.
Additionally, Harmon is set to make her return to prime time next season in NBC's Inconceivable, a drama set in a fertility clinic.
Sehorn, a onetime star defensive back with the New York Giants, has seen his football career curtailed by injuries. The sometime model last played in the NFL during the 2003 season.
