Lifetime has a new story to tell.

The Hayden Panettiere-starring teleflick will now see feature an opening and closing card that includes updated information on Knox's successful appeal and acquittal yesterday.

What viewers won't see are any changes to the actual storyline of the movie, which stirred up controversy before the flick debuted in February.

At that time, Knox's family went so far as to demand that Lifetime pull the movie and remove the trailer from its website, because they were dissatisfied (to say the least) with the way Knox and her attorney's were being portrayed.

Knox and former boyfriend Raffaele Solecito were originally convicted for the 2007 stabbing murder of Knox's British roommate Meredith Kercher in Perugia, Italy.

The Seattle transplant was later sentenced to 26 years in prison, while Solecito received 25 years.

Viewers will be able to see the updated version as soon as tonight, when the network rebroadcasts the movie at 9 p.m.
