Alexa Ray Joel Hospitalized, but in "Stable" Condition

UPDATE: According to a People report, Alexa Ray Joel was "distraught over a fight with her boyfriend" when she injested too many pills.
According to her MySpace page, Joel has two scheduled performances on Dec. 10 in New York City. No comment has been given on if the appearances will be postponed.

It's been a tumultuous couple of years for both Christie Brinkley and Billy Joel, respectively, but today, all eyes are on their daughter Alexa Ray Joel.
Joel, 23, was rushed to St. Vincent's Medical Center in Manhattan Saturday afternoon after a suspected pill overdose, reports the New York Daily News. According to the report, FDNY officials said the famous daughter told medics she was having trouble breathing after taking eight pills.
Joel's rep tells E! News: "She is stable. Her doctors are assessing her needs. That's all we can say at this moment."
