On Saturday, Alec Baldwin said "I do" to fiancée Hilaria Thomas.

Today, he said "I don't" to Twitter.

The newly hitched (and social-media-savvy) 30 Rock star quit the microblogging site on Monday, putting an end—at least for now—to prolific and notorious Twitter rants in which he took sharp aim at the paparazzi.

The actor posted his last 140-character missive early Monday before deactivating his account.

It simply read: "It's been fun."

The exit comes less than a day after the 54-year-old star, who was spotted Sunday taking a leisurely stroll in Manhattan with Thomas, posted a twitpic of his shiny new wedding band.

In the past, the mercurial actor has used Twitter to rant against specific media outlets, recently tearing into the New York Daily News—whose photographer got caught up in a scuffle with the star—by writing: "Rest in peace, the New York Daily News, which was once a good newspaper. Now run by the same trash that runs the Post."

Although he'll be MIA from Twitter, that doesn't mean he's done speaking out against press who piss him off.

In the latest issue of Vanity Fair, he rips TMZ head honcho Harvey Levin, who in 2007 posted a recording of Baldwin's infamous cuss-filled rant to daughter Ireland Baldwin.

"I wanted to stick a knife in him and gut him and kill him and I wanted him to die breathing his last breath looking into my eyes," Baldwin rails to the mag.

Something tells us Baldwin will do just fine without Twitter.
