Parminder Nagra, who first found fame starring in Bend It Like Beckham, is ending her marriage.

The former ER doc has filed for divorce from her photographer husband James Stenson, seeking an end to their three-year union.

And the reason?

Per court docs obtained by E! News and filed in Los Angeles Superior Court on Feb. 1, Nagra, 36, cited irreconcilable differences as the reason for the dissolution.

After dating for seven years, the longtime couple finally made it official in 2009 in a traditional Sikh ceremony officiated by the actress' ER costar Maura Tierney, while fellow TV doc John Stamos and Scott Grimes performed at the reception. Their son, Kai David Singh, was born five months later.

Nagra asked that the court award her physical custody of their now 2-year-old son and grant Stenson visitation. She also asked the court that no spousal support be awarded to Stenson as well as to restore her legal name to Parminder Kaur Nagra.

Professionally, Parminder has moved on from her ER days. She now plays Dr. Lucy Banerjee opposite Sam Neil and Jorge Garcia of Lost fame on the Fox mystery drama Alcatraz.
