Ailing Britney's Done It Again

Britney Spears may claim she's stronger but the singer is falling short in the health department.

The pop star postponed a concert Thursday night at Cleveland's Gund Arena, her third no-show in as many weeks.

An announcement on her official Website says "illness" forced Spears to cancel the gig, which has been rescheduled for June 29.

Someone should have thought to alert the fans who, according to local reports, showed up at concert time only to be turned away.

A call to her label, Jive Records, was not returned Friday.

Last month, the platinum princess was forced to nix shows in Chicago and Detroit after she blew her knee during a performance of the new song "Boom Boom" at a show in Moline, Illinois.

Those shows were due to be rescheduled in April.

The "Toxic" singer, who was fitted with a special knee brace following the misstep, is currently in the midst of her Onyx Hotel Tour with dates scheduled across North America and in Europe and Asia.

The road show is in support of her latest CD, In the Zone, which has sold over 5 million copies.

According to earlier reports, the Britster may also try to woo Chinese listeners with a possible concert in the communist country. Her managers are purportedly in talks with Chinese promoters to play a date there later this year.

If Spears gets the go-ahead, it would make her one of the few international artists to appear in China, following on the heels of Mariah Carey, who played two dates in Shanghai last November, as well as veteran British rockers Deep Purple, who are due to perform in Beijing and Shanghai this week.

The Rolling Stones were scheduled to rock the country last year but cancelled due to SARS concerns.
