Joseph Gordon-Levitt could tell you everything he knows about The Dark Knight Rises given the fact he plays a key role...but then he might have to kill you.

That said, the Inception star did confirm to E! News that filming on Christopher Nolan's highly anticipated trilogy capper is finally at an end—nearly seven months after it began.

Here's what he had to say.

Turning up at the New York premiere of his 50/50 costar Bryce Dallas Howard's latest short film, part of Canon's Project Imagin8ion contest , the 30-year-old Gordon-Levitt told E! the production wrapped on Monday after a nighttime shoot on Manhattan's Queensboro Bridge over the weekend. This following some globe-trotting that took the filmmakers to England, Romania, India, Los Angeles, Pittsburgh, Newark and New York City.

"We just finished. I finished day before yesterday, and the movie finished yesterday, and it's been a seven-month shoot. It went really, really well," the thesp said.

He added that he "loved filming in New York City" because "there's so much energy here" and that it "was an honor and pleasure" to work with "such wonderful actors." That includes Christian Bale as the Bat, Anne Hathaway as Selina Kyle/Catwoman, Tom Hardy as Bane, Morgan Freeman and Michael Caine among others.

While Gordon-Levitt was all smiles and stoked about his role in TDKR as a Gotham cop John Blake, he was otherwise mum about Nolan's plans for the Caped Crusader in his faceoff against his toughest foe yet, the burly criminal mastermind Bane.

The only thing that's certain is that this cast and crew are pros when it comes to keeping us in the dark on what to expect.

The Dark Knight Rises is set to unspool on July 20, 2012.
