Adam Lambert: Glad Clay Finally Got Some Press

Adam Lambert is trying on a new accessory—claws.

The American Idol runner-up continued his gracious ways Thursday, telling Access Hollywood that he didn't mind being critiqued by Clay "Bleeding-Ear" Aiken last week.

"I don't know Clay," the 27-year-old rocker said. "I'm glad he's getting headlines now though, because he wasn't before."

"If he wants to ride my coattails about it, good for him," he added.

Aiken, whose headlines have waxed and waned over the years since he ran second to Ruben Studdard in 2003, did write on his blog last week, "If [Lambert's] smart he couldn't give a crap what I think."

Well, everybody should be happy then, right?

Lambert was also asked about the latest Idol controversy—whether or not the vote was fixed by AT&T employees in Arkansas in favor of Kris Allen?

"There are plenty of standards and practices set up where they make sure that there's no foul play. And I don't think it’s a conspiracy," Lambert said.

"I think people are making a big deal out of nothing. A couple of employees handed out a couple of phones and showed people how to use them. I don't think that’s a conspiracy of any kind."
