Uma Thurman Married? We Got the Answer

Uma Thurman is was a big tease.

The Kill Bill babe was rumored to have married Arpad Busson in the Bahamas over the weekend, and, with the actress' camp mum, eagle-eyed reporters and photographers attempted to scope out her left hand and draw a conclusion. She stumped them by wearing bright baubles that were neither a wedding band nor the 8-carat engagement stunner she was reportedly given when Busson proposed last June.

Well, they can relax now.

"Uma did not get married," Thurman's rep, Stephen Huvane, tells E! News.

Instead of the big diamond, the star wore a topaz piece to an event for Cookie magazine Monday, and a shiny gold accoutrement to a press conference for the Tribeca Film Festival earlier today.

At the fest's kickoff, the question-and-answer period was kept brief and, sadly, on topic. The actress did announce the jurors for the various competitive categories—many sparkling celebs among them—including herself, James Franco, Bradley Cooper, Meg Ryan, Mary-Kate Olsen and Debra Messing.

People kicked off the buzz about a Thurman-Busson union on the island of Eleuthura on Saturday, claiming the couple had obtained a marriage license and were prepared to swap vows.

When they eventually do wed, this will be the third marriage for Thurman, following her divorces from Gary Oldman and Ethan Hawke.
