Surviving Beatles Come Together for Benefit Concert

Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr are getting back to where they once belonged—on the stage.

The surviving Beatles have confirmed they will play together at an April 4 benefit concert in New York's Radio City Music Hall to support David Lynch's eponymous foundation, which the Twin Peaks director created to teach students the value of transcendental meditation.

Other big names on the bill include Pearl Jam's Eddie Vedder, Sheryl Crow, Ben Harper, Moby and Bettye LaVette. Tickets for the Change Begins Within show go on sale Monday at 11 a.m. via Ticketmaster.

Meanwhile, in other Beatles news, fans won't have to wait much longer to strum along with their favorite lonely hearts club band.

The Fab Four's company, Apple Corps, announced today that the anticipated Beatles Rock Band will hit stores on Sept. 9 from MTV Games and Harmonix, marking the first time a game in the hit franchise has been branded exclusively for one group.

In addition to the $60 game-only version for PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and Wii, there will also be a deluxe $250 set that includes plastic instrument controllers modeled after the ones used by the moptops.
