Spears Shoots Down Pregnancy Report

Oops, the tabloids did it again.

Britney Spears' camp is lashing out at a published report that the "Gimme More" singer is expecting baby number three, supposedly with music producer and entourage member J.R. Rotem.

In a text message Wednesday to E! News anchor Ryan Seacrest on his KIIS-FM radio show (hear the exchange), Spears confidant Sam Lutfi refutes the new In Touch Weekly cover story claiming the singer is four weeks along with Rotem's spawn.

"It's B.S.," Lutfi, a self-styled movie producer and Spears' unofficial mouthpiece, texted to Seacrest just after 7:30 a.m., as he and Spears were driving back from her all-night "Piece of Me" video shoot at Social Hollywood.

"Don't know who made it up. J.R. doesn't even know what's up. It's fake. Completely fake. We just wrapped her video. Going home to sleep."

After a failed attempt to get Lutfi on the phone to further set the record straight, Seacrest got another text message.

"Sorry can't answer, we're dodging paps," Lutfi wrote. "They're trying to kill us, otherwise I'd talk."

According to In Touch, Spears allegedly emailed pals on Nov. 14 with not only news of an impending stork delivery but an ultrasound to boot. The magazine also claimed Rotem confirmed the pregnancy via a text message saying, "It's true."

Rotem, however, told People hours after the report broke that there was "absolutely no truth" to the pregnancy story.

In Touch, however, has stuck to its report. The magazine published images of what it claims to be "documented proof" of his text-message confirmation.

"Before he denies the information, he should acknowledge that he confirmed the story to In Touch ," the magazine said.

According to the magazine's transcript, the text exchange went like this:

In Touch: They are saying Britney's pregnant and you're the father.

Rotem: It's true.

In Touch: OK, awesome. Do u think Britney will keep it? She's already talking about it to people.

Rotem: No clue on what she will do She is unpredictable.

Spears already has two children with ex-hubby Kevin Federline and has been embroiled in a headline-grabbing custody battle over the tots for the better part of the year.

The pregnancy report is the second time in as many weeks Spears has had to set the brood-expanding record straight. Last week, a source close to the singer denied to E! News British tabloid reports that she was looking to adopt Chinese twins.
