Selma Blair Can't Stand Her New Role

Raven-haired hottie Selma Blair hosted the Gothic: Dark Glamour party at ILORI's Robertson Boulevard boutique in Hell-Ay. All eyes (OK, more than a few) were on S.B.—maybe a few unwanted pairs, too, since Sel had extra security manned at the doors because of a “stalker situation." Scary stuff.
The Kath & Kim star, stunning in a noir frock, chitchatted with guests throughout the macabre fete, pretty much ragging on her Kim character all night long. Our source overheard Blair-babe insisting that her personal style is so not her TV persona’s—terrible, tacky and trashy.
The usually stick-thin Sel-hon complained about having to “sit on my couch eating Doritos to gain weight” in order to achieve a 2007 Britney-esque physique. She also apologized throughout the night for uttering the word “um” all too often in conversations, blaming her ditzy character’s limited vocabulary on her “duh” moments.
We get it, babe. You’re beautiful and elegant and smart, unlike the fictional person you play on a TV sitcom. If you were this concerned about being identified with that type of character, why’d ya even sign up for the show? We don’t see your costar Molly Shannon afraid anybody will mistake her for an idiot. Get over yourself. Other than that, love ya to stalked bits, don’t ever change, hon!
