Rate-a-Trailer: Are You Feelin' Fast & Furious?
A lot of action movies are like porn flicks—utilizing paper-thin plotlines as a way to get from one money shot to another. Such seems to be the case with the oh-so-creatively-titled Fast & Furious, the fourth installment of the popular cars 'n' carnage franchise that began back in 2001 with The Fast and the Furious and which reunites the original's thrill seekers, Vin Diesel, Paul Walker, Michelle Rodriguez and Jordana Brewster.
At least we're assuming there's some sort of plot, however faint, because it certainly doesn't come through in this latest trailer, which consists of nothing more than a lot of intense running, jumping, falling, pushing, shooting and, of course, a variety of vehicles flipping over, crashing and exploding.
In other words, all the good stuff.
So will you be driving fast to the nearest multiplex when this one races into theaters April 3, or does such mindless entertainment simply make you, er, furious? Comment away!
