Flashy keyhole frocks are popping up on lovely ladies from London to Los Angeles. Kimberly Stewart's girlie Barbie dress gets sexy and grown-up points by showing a slip of skin, Mya's notched number reveals a hint of what lies beneath and the slit in Nicole Richie's floor-length gown proudly parades those mom-to-be mammaries.
And that's exactly the point, according to Jamie Finegold, CEO of contemporary sportswear line Tart. "If you've got it, flaunt it!" he says. "The frame of the keyhole draws the eye in, keeping the viewer wanting more." His favorite is Tart's Anita dress, a jersey take on Nicole's patterned red carpet choice.
Rebecca Rich, the line's newest designer, insists keyhole styles work on any body type for every occasion. "Wear the long dress with a flat sandal, big hoops and a great cuff for an afternoon barbecue," she suggests. "The short version, dressed up with heels and the perfect clutch, is ideal for a night out."
