Nancy Grace Out of the Woods

Good news for Nancy Grace's family.

The CNN anchor was released Thursday from an Atlanta hospital, where she'd been under observation for several days due to complications from her recent pregnancy.

Grace was admitted to the emergency room Sunday after experiencing shortness of breath while on her way to church. The cause turned out to be two blood clots that had formed in her lungs following the Nov. 4 birth of her twin daughter and son, who arrived two months ahead of schedule and are still hospitalized.

"Lucy and John David are still in the preemie unit," Grace wrote Thursday in a message posted on cnn.com. "Please continue your prayers. I know they are being heard because the doctors say the twins are doing well.

"John David is up to 5 1/2 pounds and Lucy is approaching 4 pounds! They are both taking bottles and I pray and believe they are close to having tubes removed…

"I can't wait to introduce them to you on air when I am finally back at work, God willing. They are the joy of my life. I never knew such a love."

These are the first children for the 48-year-old newswoman and her husband David Linch. Doctors induced labor early after Grace developed pulmonary edema, or, fluid in her lungs. The babies were born healthy yet underweight.

Linch told People on Wednesday that his wife was "doing pretty doggone good" and her rep said Friday that the former prosecutor and Court TV pundit's condition is "much improved and she's on the mend."

"Nancy hopes to bring the babies home for Thanksgiving," the rep said. "They have so much to be grateful for."
