John Mayer's Costly Coif?

You'd think with his girlfriend Jessica Simpson's hair guru, Ken Paves, always around, John Mayer would turn to him for a coif makeover.
But no, Mayer looked to his pal, hair goddess Sally Hershberger, for his new 'do.
Hershberger, most famous for her steep prices and Meg Ryan's signature shag, went to work on Mayer on Monday afternoon. A couple of hours later, the Grammy winner debuted his cleaned up look at the Metropolitan Museum of Art's Costume Institute Gala, followed by a performance at the Time 100 party the next night.
As for cost, no one is saying how much Mayer paid.
However, if Hershberger, currently a guest judge on Bravo's Shear Genius reality show, got her going rate, it would have set Mayer back—ready for this?!—$800.
