Well, after lots o' hoop hoopla, NBA free agent LeBron James finally announced his decision—traveling to Miami is a slam-dunk. So it's an air ball for the famous fans of these teams:
New Jersey Nets: Guess being one of LeBron's closest pals wasn't enough for team part-owner Jay-Z to distract James from the lure of taking over Miami like a Kardashian.
New York Knicks: The weirdly combined star power of Donald Trump, Alec Baldwin, Chris Rock, Whoopi Goldberg, Tracy Morgan and Spike Lee—not to mention the bandwagon-jumping cast of Broadway's Billy Elliot—failed to bring James to the Manhattan empire.
Cleveland Cavaliers: Hot in Cleveland stars Betty White, Valerie Bertinelli, Jane Leeves and Wendie Malick delivered an ineffective plea for the Ohio native to stay. Wonder if fan-rioting "LeBronfires" will be written into future episodes?
Boston Celtics: Not that the Celts were even courting James, but now die-hard Boston fans Donnie Wahlberg, Dane Cook, Ellen Pompeo, Eliza Dushku have to deal with the possibility of the Miami Heat as another big-city contender.
