Are the two really teaming up to perform together at MTV’s Video Music Awards next month in Las Vegas?
An MTV rep just told me, “It’s a fantastic rumor.” Reps for Timberlake and Madonna did not comment.
Hmmm.
Here’s what I’m hearing: There are no concrete plans—yet.
Producers, a source tells me, have spoken to J.T. about it. And the idea has been presented to Madonna. “She is interested,” my source reports.
Madge should be interested. There’s no one better at transforming herself into what people want right now than the original Material Girl. A hookup with the 26-year-old Timberlake could mean only one thing: more fans!
Four years ago, Madonna made international headlines by kissing Britney Spears and Christina Aguilera onstage at the VMAs.
Let’s hope she creates the same magic on Sept. 9.
