The Golden Globes countdown is on!

And while most celebs (and their hair stylists and makeup artists) won't decide on their final look until the last minute Sunday, there are several nominees we expect to steal the red carpet spotlight.

All eyes will undoubtedly be on Hollywood newbie Rooney Mara. Not only is she up for Best Actress for The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo, but the intense style she maintains as Lisbeth Salander's alter ego (severe black hair and a ghostly complexion) always makes an impact on the red carpet.

Michelle Williams is another character-channeling actress we can't wait to see. Will the My Week With Marilyn contender show up rocking some classic Hollywood glamour or go with the fresh, strawberry-blonde style she showed off at this weekend's Palm Springs Film Festival?

We're rooting for a strong showing from the Bridesmaids cast (minus any pastel makeup, floral hairclips or pearl necklaces)—especially Best Actress, Comedy or Musical nominee Kristen Wiig. She's been looking a lot more poised and pulled-together since the movie's premiere last spring, and we're excited to see what she's got in store Sunday.

On the TV front, New Girl star Zooey Deschanel is always fun to watch—will she continue to look like Katy Perry's long-lost twin or go with a distinctly daintier style? And Modern Family star Sofia Vergara always turns out the glamour for every red carpet appearance. The lady knows what she's doing—or hires the right hair and makeup pros to pull it together!

Finally, we need to throw a nod to double nominee Kate Winslet—Best Actress, Comedy or Musical for Carnage and Best Actress in a Mini-Series or Motion Picture Made for Television for Mildred Pierce. She always cleans up beautifully for the red carpet (this year's been all about upsweeps and elegant makeup), and we expect her to look twice as nice on this occasion.
