Fishburne Adding to Family Matrix
Morpheus is morphing into a dad again.
Laurence Fishburne and wife Gina Torres are expecting a child together, according to the actor's rep, Alan Nierob.
This will be the first child for Torres and the third for Fishburne, who has two teenagers, son Langston and daughter Montana, with his first wife, Hajna Moss.
Fishburne, 45, and Torres, 37, tied the knot in 2002 after almost seven years of dating. The actors swapped vows at the Cloisters museum in New York. Perhaps the medieval artwork on display was a welcome respite from the sci-fi world of The Matrix Reloaded and The Matrix Revolutions, where the costar couple had been spending most of their time.
Torres kept honing her fantastical action-adventure chops, moving on to star in the Joss Whedon series Firefly and its movie adaptation Serenity. She later had a recurring role on Alias and now stars in the Fox series Standoff with Ron Livingston and Rosemarie DeWitt.
Next up, Torres costars with Chris Rock in the comedy I Think I Love My Wife.
Fishburne was up on the big screen for what seemed like most of 2006, first in the critically acclaimed family drama Akeelah and the Bee and then in Mission: Impossible III. He's still making the rounds in the Golden Globe-nominated RFK assassination film Bobby, which also scored a Screen Actors Guild Award nod for Outstanding Performance by a Cast in a Motion Picture.
