Does This Mean a Simpsons Movie, Part D'oh?

Homer Simpson just took one step closer to getting himself a sequel.
The Simpsons Movie just received a Golden Globe nomination for Best Animated Film, along with Bee Movie and Ratatouille.
“The nomination certainly won’t hurt,” Simpsons director David Silverman told me this morning of a possible big-screen follow-up. “But I can’t say when that may come about, because we’re all pretty tired from the last outing.”
Cowriter and coproducer Al Jean also predicts that a follow-up is a long ways away. “The sequel would have to have a plot and story that we loved as much as the first one—and that took awhile," he said. “So, nothing soon.”
But Silverman and Jean were quick to guess what Bart and Homer might have to say about the nomination.
“Bart would probably say ‘¡Ay, caramba!’ while skateboarding around naked,” Silverman said. “Homer would say, ‘Woo-hoo!’ and then he’d probably celebrate by eating a dozen doughnuts and then call into work and tell them he was sick.”
Jean offered an action-packed reaction: “Bart says, ‘I can’t believe my big fat dad is a movie star.’ And then Homer goes, ‘Why you little...’ and then he’d start strangling Bart,” Jean said.
For now, Silverman is thinking about honoring the family by wearing a yellow tuxedo when the awards are given out on Jan. 13 in Beverly Hills. “I was trying to find one for another event, but I came up empty-handed,” he said. “Maybe someone will realize now that we need yellow tuxedos!”
Jean, on the other hand, said he may have to be in something a bit more comfy because of the writers' strike. “I might be picketing,” he said. “If it’s struck, then as a writer I certainly wouldn’t go in. I [would] just have fun outside and go to the parties.”
