Clooney 911 Call: Larson "Flew off the Bike"

His two wheels may have let him down, but George Clooney was standing tall on his own two feet. Ditto Sarah Larson...minus one foot.

The actor and his crutches-toting girlfriend, both recovering from injuries suffered in a motorcycle accident in New Jersey on Friday, were in fine form on the red carpet Monday at the New York premiere of his new legal thriller, Michael Clayton.

"We got lucky we hit the curb and not the back of a car," Clooney told E! News about the smashup, which reportedly occurred when the Oscar winner tried to steer his Harley-Davidson past a Mazda that was making a right-hand turn from a left lane.

Both parties are saying that the other was at fault and the Weehawken Township Police Department opted not to press charges against either Clooney or 27-year-old Alfred Sciancalepore, citing the "conflicting statements of drivers and the lack of evidence to support either driver's version."

"We got hit so I hate to get into the disputing part of it," Clooney, 48, said Monday. "We're not looking to go after anybody and we hope the same."

Sciancalepore, who claims that Clooney sped up to pass him, was fined for not having his registration on him at the time.

On Tuesday E! News obtained a copy of the 911 call that was made by a person who witnessed the crash and stopped to help.

Toward the end of the four-minute recording, Clooney and Larson can be heard in the background but they do not speak directly to the dispatcher. Meanwhile, no one on the phone seemed to realize that a major movie star was one of the casualties (Clooney and Larson were wearing helmets) or that a motorcycle, and not two cars, was involved.

Throughout the call, the dialer and the operator have trouble hearing what the other is saying.

"I need an ambulance to come right away, please," the caller says. "There was a motorcycle accident."

After the caller gives the dispatcher their location, the operator asks how many cars were involved, a question he asks several times.

"No cars, it's a motorcycle accident...two injured," the caller replies. You can hear him telling someone in the background, "Don’t get up, don't get up."

"Just cuts and scrapes," he says when the dispatcher asks if anyone is bleeding. "It seems like her leg is busted, maybe."

"Everybody's awake and breathing, right?" the dispatcher asks.

"Everyone is awake and oriented, yes," the caller answers. "She flew off the bike and hit the sidewalk...They're on the sidewalk. They're fine."

Larson, who had broken her foot, was taken to Palisades Medical Center by ambulance. Clooney, who according to police was able to drive his bike to the hospital, suffered a hairline rib fracture. Both were wearing helmets when they crashed.

When E! News asked him at the Michael Clayton premiere whether he had considered calling in sick, Clooney good-naturedly said, "I have work to do today."

"She's had it tougher," he said, pointing to Larson. "It's harder for broken toes than broken ribs."

Larson, 28, a former Fear Factor winner, looked on the bright side.

"I'm going to have one really strong leg," she said.
