Chris Rock's Maybe Baby

It seems Chris Rock's so-called "limited relationship" with a Georgia woman some 13 years ago wasn't exactly exclusive.

Kali Bowyer, who has claimed the comedian is the father of her 13-year-old son, Jordan, acknowledged Monday that she wasn't entirely certain about the child's paternity.

"If I were 100 percent positive, I would not have requested a DNA test. I would have gone to the lawyers and courts for a child-support order," she said in a statement to the Statesboro Herald.  "It's hard enough for a parent of any child to seek such a test, let alone someone in the public eye."

Bowyer filed suit against Rock in March, requesting that the actor submit to a paternity test to establish whether he was indeed Jordan's father.

She has denied her legal action was financially motivated, and claims she is merely trying to learn more about her son's medical history because he is ill.

"Any parent who has a child laying in an [emergency room] bed would seek out paternity when faced with the situation," she said.

Rock, 42, has conceded to the court that he once carried on a "limited relationship" with Bowyer and expressed willingness to submit to DNA testing.

If it is determined that he is, in fact, the father, Rock "desires to contribute to the support, maintenance and education" of the boy, according to court documents filed by his attorney.

The comic and his wife, Malaak, have been married for 10 years and have two daughters: four-year-old Lola Simone and two-year-old Zahra Savannah.
