Can Speidi Still Charge $100,000 to Attend a Party?

I'm about to attend a convention in the U.K. Curious as to what organizers have to pay for a celeb appearance.

Looks like the worldwide monetary crisis hasn't hit celebrities so much. Unless you count Speidi, who recently whined that the crappy economy has killed their usual $100,000 appearance fee.

Kim Kardashian reportedly charges more than $20,000 to attend a club. No word on the separate appearance fee for her moon-shaped booty, but I'm working on it.

Meantime, this:

Mario Lopez is no Kim Kardashian. He gets less than $20,000, according to an Ottawa club promoter recently quoted in the local paper up there. And Snoop? Reports have him charging about $30,000—at least as of last year.

Dancing With the Stars' Karina Smirnoff? Per TMZ, she sued a San Antonio restaurant for not paying her appearance fee, which was all of $6,000. And, oh, if you ever wonder whether stars waive their appearance fees for charity events, the answer is, usually not. That appearance that Karina did in San Antonio? It was a benefit for the March of Dimes.

And finally, Lindsay Lohan.

European and Australian papers say she charges six figures to show up in certain places, and I believe them. Two years ago, her fee was a whopping $350,000. She reportedly had to repay Pure nightclub just that amount after she canceled an appearance to party there.
