Bruisin' Beckhams Hit Betty

Michael Urie got a kick out of Victoria Beckham and her three sons.

Literally.

Beckham recently shot a guest stint on Ugly Betty in which she plays a bridesmaid at the wedding of witchy editor Wilhelmina Slater (Vanessa Williams). Urie, who plays Marc St. James on the show, says Beckham’s three sons with soccer superstar hubby David Beckham were on set for a scene in which Williams kicks Urie.

The Beckham offspring—Brooklyn, Romeo and Cruz—asked Urie to show them how Williams kicked him without hurting him.

“So, I showed them how to fake kick someone,” Urie said at the Outfest Legacy Project’s Legacy Awards at the DGA on Thursday. “Then they proceeded to fake kick me. These are soccer spawn, and they could kick—and they didn’t always miss! I spent about a half hour getting kicked by Beckham spawn!”

Urie, who refers to Victoria as “Poshie,” says the Beckhams gave him a bottle of their fragrance, Intimately Beckham. “I’m wearing it right now,” he cooed.

Urie was on hand at the DGA to present a Legacy Award to his Ugly Betty costar Judith Light for her work on behalf of gay rights. Showtime was also honored, and the network’s president of entertainment Robert Greenblatt accepted.

Caroline Rhea hosted the event, because, she joked, super-gay-friendly Kathy Griffin wasn’t available. “I’m sick of her cockblocking me,” Rhea cracked. “I love them, too."

Also there was Ugly Betty’s Anna Ortiz, as well as David Duchovny, Marlee Matlin and Wilson Cruz.
