We can't wait to see what outrageous outfit Mickey Rourke will wear for his Sean Penn showdown (and if he takes rumored paramour Courtney Love as his date). But other more movie-minded folks are wondering why Mick's flick, The Wrestler, was shut out of the race for Best Pic.
We're so betting the Academy just couldn't stomach the surprisingly gory indie. Rourke being attacked with a staple gun in the ring was the last straw for us, and we have a way high tolerance for pain—we schlepped ourselves through a screening of The Women, and God knows how we made it out alive after staring at Meg Ryan's puffed-up puss for two hours.
So, why don't you all tell us when movie violence crosses the line?
