Ladies and gentlemen, we have our winners!

The summer of 2011 is going to go down in the books as one of the hottest ever, and one thing's for certain: It was a career scorcher for some of our favorite stars. So many had standout seasons, but only two could be named the king and queen. After the Final Four round voting, who earned the royal titles?

Daniel Radcliffe and Emma Watson!

The British have officially taken over summer! Emma's competition, the future queen of England, Kate Middleton, was a worthy opponent, but in the end was no match for Emma's 58 percent of the vote. Guess Kate will have to be content with the trappings of real-life royalty. On the guys' front, Ryan Gosling just couldn't unseat the Boy Who Lived. While Radcliffe bested his rival with 56 percent of the vote, we have no doubt we'll be seeing Ryan again next year.

So what was it about  the summer of 2011 that propelled these two young stars in particular to the top spot of our tournament? Without a doubt it was the success of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2. Not only was it a box-office smash, bringing in more than a billion dollars worldwide, it packed a huge sentimental punch.

This was the culmination of a decade-long journey with our favorite wizards and witches. We literally watched them grow up before our eyes on the big screen, and they left an indelible mark on pop culture. And while neither Radcliffe nor Watson are having problems moving on from their Harry Potter alter egos, it's going to be hard for us to let Harry Potter and Hermione Granger go. Fortunately, they have this one last honor that shows just how much they meant to fans around the world.

Congratulations to all our players!

What do you think of the results? Happy for our winners or did your fave not make it? Sound off in the comments!
