UPDATE: Travis Scott has responded to being sued by promoter PJAM LLC after cancelling a show on Feb. 4, two days after girlfriend Kylie Jenner gave birth to their child, daughter Stormi Webster. He has also filed a counter-suit against the company, E! News can confirm.

Scott's attorneys say that the promoters failed to arrange transportation for the rapper and have tried to "shake Travis down to avoid the consequences of their breaches" and because they have gone public with their grievances they want the $50,000 balance still owed to him for the gig.

The law firm King, Holmes, Paterno & Soriano, LLP, gave the following statement to E! News, "Three wannabe promoters—Alex Martini, Jefferson Agar and Patrick Johnston, and their company PJAM, contracted with Travis Scott to appear at a February 4 show under terms they had no financial ability to satisfy—even completely failing to arrange to get him to and from the event as required. In an obvious effort to shake Travis down and avoid the consequences of their breaches, they filed a spurious lawsuit while spreading specious falsehoods in the press."

The statement continues, "Rather than suing, these so-called promoters should have apologized and taken responsibility for their inability to provide the agreed-upon transportation. Instead of pursuing a misguided attempt to spin the narrative and salvage their tattered reputation, the responsible step would have been for PJAM to pay Travis the balance of his fee and move on to their next opportunity. Travis would have preferred to resolve the failures of the promoters privately and cooperatively. Their election to go public has left Travis no option other than to seek the balance of the fees owing. "

The attorneys add, "Travis apologizes to any fans who were duped by these promoters into showing up at the cancelled show even after the promoters failed to take the steps to get Travis there.”

Travis Scott has been sued for canceling a scheduled performance two days after Kylie Jenner gave birth.

Promoter PJAM LLC claims that the rapper was paid an advance of $150,000 fee to perform at a Super Bowl Weekend party at Myth Live in Minnesota on February 3. Stormi was born two days prior and Kylie announced her birth on February 4, the day of the Super Bowl. PJAM says that on February 3, Scott "advised" the group that "despite his contractual obligations, he refused to show up for the event."

The organization also claims that Scott's agent received a $10,000 booking fee and had arranged for a private jet to fly the rapper to the venue.

The group also says it paid "significant sums" to "advertise the event, lease a large entertainment venue and to hire a staff of waiters, bartenders and other assistants for the night" and that it suffered "significant damages" and "reputational harm" "based upon its failure to produce a performance" by Scott.

The rapper has not commented on the lawsuit, which does not mention Kylie or their baby.
